Pragstein castle in Mauthausen, Austria The Pragstein castle is a prominent landmark on the banks of the Danube in Mauthausen, Austria. The street next to it was being repaved with granite blocks when I took this photograph in May 2003.   This is the doorway of an old castle built in 1491 by Lasla von Prag; it is now the Heimat museum in Mauthausen, Austria.
