House built before 1920 for Gunpowder and Munitions factory A few yards west of the location of the former main gate, the street name changes to Strasse der KZ-Opfer, which means Street of the camp victims. Here you will see 8 beautiful white buildings with red roofs facing the street. These are buildings in the former SS camp west of the prison compound. The soldiers of the 45th Thunderbird Division of the US Seventh Army were impressed by these beautiful buildings and the rose bushes in front of the homes of the SS officers stationed at the SS garrison.
