The dates 1933 - 1945 on the Memorial are thedates of the period during which the Nazi Concentration Camp atDachau was a prison labor camp. The camp remained open for anotherten years when it was occupied by Displaced Persons, awaitingrelocation. In the lower right hand corner of this picture, youcan see the edge of another sculpture which depicts the triangularidentification badges worn by the prisoners.
