Taxi cabs waiting outside the train station atDachau

My journey to Dachau began at the Hauptbahnhof(main train station) in Munich, where I took the S-Bahn, in thedirection towards Peterhausen, to the small town of Dachau, a20 minute train ride. From there, one can take one of the taxiswaiting outside the train station, or wait for Bus # 726 to theMemorial Site at the former camp. I waited 17 minutes for thebus which took me to within a block or two of the camp. Taxistake customers right to the entrance to the Memorial Site andat closing time, there are taxis waiting for the return trip.On the bus route, we drove along Sudentenland Strasse. To properlytour the Museum and grounds requires an entire day. The Englishversion of a film called KZ Dachau is shown twice a day at 11:30a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (KZ is the abbreviation for the word ConcentrationCamp in German.)
