Bachstrasse in Geseke, GermanyThe photo above shows a sculpture on Bachstrasse which depicts the annual Gösselmarkt (Goose market) held on the first Thursday in May in Geseke. The first goose market was held in 1870. Bachstrasse is the main street in the town of Geseke. It is a pedestrian zone with no automobiles allowed. Notice the cobblestones on the street. On both sides of the street, Bachstrasse is lined with flowering trees, which bloom in May. Shown above are the bright pink flowers on one of the trees on Bachstrasse.
