Gardelegen Memorial Site

The remaining half of the front wall of the Gardelegen barn has been propped up on the back side. On the right is another memorial stone in honor of the victims. Through the opening, which was one of the original doors of the barn, you can see the statue in front of the wall.

The short wall at the back of the Memorial shows the outline of the original barn which was rectangular and quite small. Note part of the old barn floor in the center of the photo, and part of the original foundation to the right of the remaining wall.

To the left of the remaining wall, on the back side, you can see what appears to be part of the original foundation of the building.

Behind the Memorial Site one can see open fields and windmills in the distance
