Tourist entrance to crematoria area was built in
1965
Baracke X, the gas chamber building, which was completed
in 1943, is located outside the northwest corner of the camp.
A new gate has been constructed across from the Protestant Church
to give access to this area, which was off limits to the prisoners.
A bridge crosses the reconstructed ditch and the Würm river,
which runs in a concrete-lined canal, forming a boundary along
the west side of the prison compound. After you go through the
gate, the path leads straight ahead to the graves of the unknown
beyond Baracke X on your right.
