It was a quiet ceremony because Klara was already over four months pregnant; she was 24 and her new husband was 48. This carving on a church in Braunau am Inn, Austria depicts Hans Staininger, the man with the long beard, who became famous because of his beard down to his ankles. Another likeness of him is on the city hall. Adolf Hitler was baptized a Catholic with water from this holy font.
